Your Certification Program Is Like a Three-Legged Stool

You certification program is like a three-legged stool.Forrest Gump's mama always said that life is like a box of chocolates and Forrest kept chewing on that nugget of aphoristic wisdom for decades. It's probably a little bit too soon to tell whether the somewhat similar analogy proposed by longtime certification consultant Warren Wyrostek in a new article at CertMag.com will have equivalent staying power. On the other hand, Wyrostek says in his new article, the second in a series about building an enterprise certification program, that he's been comparing a successful certification program to a three-legged stool for quite a few years now, and the comparison has apparently been rewarding to his customers. Wyrosteck makes a solid argument for the importance of the stools three legs, training, testing, and marketing, as well as noting the essential role in the overall process of communication between the units of a successful program tasked with providing each leg of the stool. If you're planning to create your own certification program any time in the near future, then you'd be well advised to have a look.
